My brother-in-law’s funeral was today. Everyone took it reasonably well. I’m just glad all the funeral stuff is over with. It’s so depressing to me.

We’ve gotta get a new fan motor for our heat pump. It has been making loud, strange noises off and on for a while now, and this morning it quit altogether. We got the guy who put our outdoor unit in to come look at it, and it’s working now but he said we couldn’t leave it on overnight. He’s going to replace it tomorrow and let us pay him next weekend.

I start my new job tomorrow. In a way I’m dreading it, and in a way I look forward to it. I don’t think it will be too bad, but I’m still going to be trying to get enough money coming in from home to be able to stay here eventually.

I hope this new beginning will usher in more good things. Everything has been so hectic and unpredictable lately, I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
