I haven’t been to a concert in ages. I would love to go see a good one, but getting Hubby to go would be like pulling teeth. He hates crowds and waiting and all the other frustrating things associated with concerts.
I can overlook all that stuff. The one thing that does really frustrate me is trying to get tickets to a popular show. These days it’s next to impossible if you go through the box office. But Premium Seats USA can help. Whether you want Miami Heat tickets or tickets to see the Police, they have them. And don’t worry about having to sit in the nosebleed section- they can hook you up with the best seats in the house.

A couple of weeks ago, I looked briefly at some Easter baskets at Wal-Mart. I didn’t look too closely though, because Pumpkin was with me. I just took note of some things she might like, and promised myself that I would go get some stuff later.
I forgot all about it until a couple of days ago. Seeing how Easter is on Sunday, and I have to work every day until then, I don’t know when I will get to pick her up a basket. I’ve more or less put the notion of putting one together myself to the side, because as much as I would love to I know I’m not going to have time for that.
The only time I can think of that I might get to do it is Saturday after work. Maybe I can talk Hubby into picking her up from his parents’ house so I can go get one. I’m sure things will be very much picked over by then, though. I guess that’s what I get for not being able to remember anything.

Hubby called me about a half hour ago and said that he was on his way home, and asked if I would go out to the storage building and get some boards so he could unload his lawnmower. He also requested that I bring him out something to drink. I got up and decided to get my truck keys so that I could move my truck when I went out. I put them in my pocket and headed out the door.
I met Hubby at his truck- with no boards and no drink. I had to go to the building and get the boards, and we unloaded the mower. He never did get his drink.
After we had been back in the house for a few minutes, Hubby asked if I wanted to switch our vehicles around. I had forgotten all about doing that, after I took my keys out and everything. So I had to go back out and do that.
Maybe I should go ahead and go to bed. If this is the way the rest of the evening is going to go, I’ll be much better off.

When it comes to phones, I’m pretty low-tech. Right now I have one line at home, with the standard caller ID and few other bells and whistles. But when I start using the phone for business purposes, that’s not going to cut it.
Xpander Communications has got some innovative small business phone systems. They offer VoIP-based business packages with which you can tap into phone system from anywhere in the world. And you don’t have to worry about your phone equipment becoming obsolete, because you don’t have to invest in hardware and you get free software updates.
If your business has several branches, you can even enjoy four-digit extension dialing between locations. Who said you had to be a big corporation to enjoy such features? Check out XpanderCommunications.com to learn more about their innovative phone systems.

I’ve been thinking about getting Pumpkin a dog. We have one dog, but it’s Hubby’s hunting dog, and she’s too big and rambunctious for Pumpkin to play with.
Ideally, I would like to have one that could stay inside or out. It would have to be fairly small, because I don’t like having big dogs in the house. I’ve been trying to talk my father-in-law out of his long-haired chihuahua, but he’s not about to give him up. He stays inside most of the time, but he’s well-behaved. He’s also playful enough to be fun, but not so hyper that he drives you nuts.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I can’t afford to spend much on it- free would be best if possible. But it would be nice to at least have an idea what to look for.

I enjoy looking at the stars on a nice, clear night. But I’ve never studied astrology, so I have no idea just what I’m looking at on any given night.
Enter the Meade mySky Personal Planetarium. It’s a stargazer’s dream come true. You can simply point it at any object in the night sky, and it will identify it for you. It will also map out any object that you wish to find. It has images, video, and audio descriptions of over 500 objects. How cool is that?
The Meade mySky Personal Planetarium would make a great gift for the astrology buff. I wouldn’t mind having one myself, even if I don’t know the first thing about astrology. It would be a great way to learn.

The past week has been absolutely mind-blowing for me. I’ve had the best luck I’ve had in a reallllllly long time. I’m almost afraid to even discuss it because I might jinx it. But I just can’t hold it in any longer.
It all started with an email I got last week. I think I mentioned it in a previous post… Anyway, it was from a lady who I had inquired with back in September about freelance writing jobs. She said the project she was recruiting for then had been scrapped, but she had a really big project that needed to be completed by yesterday. I thought about it overnight, because I was afraid it might not be for real. But the next day I wrote back, and ended up spending most of the weekend working on it. I did have a little bad luck on Saturday when my DSL went out and I couldn’t work on it most of the day, but all in all I can’t complain. The lady said she would be in touch about future projects soon.
At some point during the weekend, I noticed that my PayPal account was a bit fatter than I thought it should be. Not a bad thing at all, but I still thought I should investigate. It turned out that a company I’ve been doing some writing for (who shall remain nameless- don’t want anyone trying to scam them or anything) had sent me a duplicate payment. It wasn’t triple digits or anything, but it wasn’t chump change either. I emailed them yesterday and told them about it, and asked if they could retract it. I’ve done refunds through PayPal before, and they take out the transaction fee, so I thought maybe they could do it on their end somehow and avoid that. Well, I got an email back today saying that they appreciated my honesty, but to keep it as a bonus.
And yesterday, I received news that the company I had applied and done sample articles for last week had accepted me as a writer. Woo-hoo!!!!!!!
I think I’m way overdue for some good luck. I hope things continue this way for a while. I’m thinking about buying some lottery tickets just in case they do.

I have always wanted to go to Disney World. One of my coworkers is planning a trip there this summer, and I must admit that I’m green with envy. One day I will get to go there.
Lodging is one of the biggest concerns when going somewhere like that. You have to really be on top of things to find an affordable hotel room when going to such a popular attraction. But at Homes.OrlandoVacation.com, you can find great deals on vacation homes near Disney World for rent. Talk about having it made! And it’s not like Disney World is all that the Orlando area has to offer. Anyone who rents a vacation home there can enjoy numerous other theme parks, golf courses, and many other family-friendly attractions.
There are some great homes available at even better prices. If you’re thinking about going to Orlando, take a look. You’d be surprised at just how affordably you could stay in one.

I decided not to put Pumpkin in t-ball. I already paid her fees and everything, but I just don’t think it would be the best thing for her to play. She wouldn’t go to her last basketball game on Saturday, she seems to have completely lost interest in that. And I would be willing to bet that the same thing would have happened with t-ball.
She has also been having some behavioral problems. Backtalking, not listening to Hubby and me, those kinds of things. So that was another factor in my decision. I just hope I made the right one.
