If everything works out with that house, we will be moving very soon. I’m so not looking forward to it.

Here in the boondocks, we don’t really have the same kind of movers New York has, with the big trucks. Well, maybe we do, but they’re few and far between. Some people rent a U-Haul to transport their stuff. But most people round up all of their buddies with pickup trucks and load them up, going back and forth until it’s all done.

The last time we moved, we started out moving a car or truck load at a time. Then one evening Hubby decided that he wanted to get it done and over with, and called five people he knew who had trucks. We loaded everything that was left up and hauled it. It was dark by the time we got here, and the electricity wasn’t on yet. So we moved everything in in the dark. It was quite entertaining.

This time around Hubby and I both have trucks, and we won’t be moving very far. So maybe we can do it ourselves.
