We had a closing date set for our house, but we’re not going to make it by then. I hope it’s not pushed back more than a couple of days, because if it is, we won’t have anywhere to go.

We started getting the runaround from the guy who was buying our mobile home, and we decided to call another guy who was interested and let him come look at it since time was running out. He came, he liked it, and he said he would get the money. We told him that if he brought the money first, it was his. Then when we told the other guy, he had a change of heart and said he would pay the following morning. I tried to get in touch with the first guy to find out if he was going to get it for sure, but had no luck. To make a long story short, the first guy got it, and the other guy is very angry at us.

Anyway, we got the money in the bank in what we thought was plenty of time, but the lender slacked and didn’t get the paperwork done in time. So it looks like we will be closing at least a day later than we thought, maybe more. And we signed an agreement that we would be out by 2 days after what we were told was the closing date, so if it goes any longer than that, we’re going to have problems. Great.

It may also cost us more money since it’s being delayed. That’s just peachy, especially since we barely have enough to cover the closing and pay the bills as it is. I’ll be so glad when this is all over with.

Donations and affiliate purchases are still most welcome. The closing costs should be covered by the skin of our teeth, but we’re going to be hard pressed to have enough money to get moved. We may end up borrowing wheelbarrows and pushing a load at a time over there. At least that way we’ll get plenty of exercise out of the deal.
