I’m Baaaaack!
Did you miss me? Well, I missed you!
Hopefully my scheduled posts made my absence a little less painful. 
Since I have yet to get a laptop so that I can take advantage of the local wi-fi hotspots, I had planned on doing some blogging from the library while I was without Internet at home. But those plans fell through. It wasn’t because I didn’t try, though. I went up there late last week to check my email and shoot out a post or two, but was greeted with a sign on the door. The sign informed me that the library was closed, and that it would reopen in a temporary location on Monday of this week so they could do renovations. Isn’t that just ducky?
So I went back on Monday, and was greeted with another sign. This sign said that the reopening had been postponed until Wednesday. I began to have spasms.
They called yesterday and told me that my DSL was operational. I jumped for joy, then realized that it wouldn’t do me any good unless I went out and got a phone jack for my office, and then I would have to wait for someone to help me install it. So off to the store I went, and I got a phone jack and some line. I also got a 50 foot phone cord, so that I could hook my modem up to the phone line in the kitchen until we got the phone jack installed. Then I rushed home and reassembled my desk, hooked up my computer, and basked in the warm glow of the computer screen.
I had to take Pumpkin to t-ball practice, and we ended up not getting back in until pretty late. So I decided to put blogging and writing off until today. But now, here I am. It’s good to be back.
