Backing Up the Files
I’ve come to the realization that backing up the important files on my computer is something that I really need to do. It has been giving me a lot of trouble lately, and I’d hate to lose all of my accounting records and stuff. The computer has decided that it no longer wants to let me print anything (it’s not my printer, because I’ve tried two different ones with no luck), so I can’t just print those out and put them in a safe place. I guess I’ll have to burn them onto a CD.
But even more important, to me at least, is my pictures. I have tons of them that I’ve never printed out, but I’d go crazy if I were to lose them. Kind of like my scrapbook full of newspaper clippings, wedding invitations, ticket stubs and other memorabilia from days gone by. I don’t look at them much, but they’re among my most prized possessions.
I’d like to put the stuff on thumb drives, but I don’t happen to have any. I should have ordered one with my Pepsi points, but I read bad reviews about the ones they were giving away so I didn’t. I suppose I’ll just try to cram the most important/treasured stuff on the few blank CDs I have. Better safe than sorry.
