Ramblings of a writing mom

I’m Writing for Contentrix!

Posted on 1st September 2009 by Kristy in Uncategorized

I know, I promised to let everyone know when my first post at the blog I’m now contributing to was published. But if you’ve been reading this blog for very long, you know how absent-minded I am. My second post was published this morning. Hey, better late than never, right?

The blog is Contentrix, and it’s run by the fabulous Alice Seba. It’s a blog about marketing with the written word, which is something that every Internet marketer should know a little something about. I’m excited to be a part of this, because I’m working with a great team and I think it’s shaping up to be a wonderful resource.

I’ve had two posts published so far: One about writing attention-grabbing email subject lines and one about writing effective bylines. Check them out, and let me know what you think in the comments, either here or at the Contentrix blog!

Knock on Wood…

I’m not sick. Well, I guess technically I am, because I’m still battling that apparent sinus infection. But somehow I managed to avoid getting whatever it was that Hubby and Pumpkin had. Lucky me.

Hubby is all better now, and Pumpkin was well enough to go back to school today. She hasn’t been running a fever any more, but she still has a nasty cough. Weird, because Hubby didn’t have that part of it. But other than that, their illnesses were pretty much identical. The same alternating between feeling horrible and okay, the same lack of appetite, everything.

Those two being sick put me behind on my work yet again. But I’m finally caught up. Now I just have to concentrate on staying that way. I’ve got plenty to keep me busy, and if I can somehow get ahead, I’d like to take on some articles for Demand Studios. If I could manage to do 20 of those this month, we would actually be ahead of the game. It’s a longshot, but I’m going to try.

I need to do some more work on my portfolio site, but that’s going to have to wait a while. I’m not hurting for work right now, anyway.
