Yeah, I mainly make them around Christmas too since nobody else in my household likes anything with pecans in it. I keep some for myself and give the rest to my mom, brother and sister. But I'm thinking about making up a batch pretty soon just for the heck of it. Surely I can find someone to help me eat them! :)

My mouth is watering! These are my absolutely favorite cookies in the world. Unfortunately I only make them at Christmas time. I should start making them all year long!

If anyone has suggestions for materials - websites, books, videos (free) about self esteem for girls 8-12, I agree advertising puts pressure on these girls - I home school 2 between these ages and am always looking for interesting supplementary lessons for them.

Please email me if you have any ideas: wphoenix@leo.tamu-commerce.edu

Our non-profit is publishing a book on recovery from caffeine addition. We are looking for stories of recovery from various caffeinated products, including coffee, tea, energy drinks, no doz pills, soda, etc. Authors of the stories will be kept completely anonymous. This book is being written to help others who may be suffering from an addiction to caffeine and may identify with someone's story and seek help. Stories are ideally between 2,000 and 4,000 words total. If you or someone you know has struggled with caffeine addiction, this is a great opportunity to reach out and help others. All participants will receive a free copy of the book, once it is published.

Hi Lisa,

I've got an inquiry in about it. I'm thinking maybe they just provide the materials and instruction for those who want to hold workshops, and they're responsible for putting the word out for each individual one. But I've asked about it, and will post when I hear back.

Hi Donna,

I haven't been able to find dates and locations for the workshops, but I did find some information for those interested in holding such a workshop. You can take a look at it here:

http://campaignforrealbeauty.com/workshop/Template.aspx?page=learningmore&vanity=0

I'll keep looking to see what I can find out about existing workshops, and if there are any listings to be found I'll be sure to post them for all to see.

I have seen the Dove commericials on self esteem issues and would like to know if there are any workshops offered in or around Batavia, New York for young girls between the ages of 13 to 18?

I have a 17 year old daughter and I feel this program could greatly benefit her as well as many other girls in her age group.

Thank you for any assistance.
